Riding a cable car in the air is a 'must try' when you are visiting or living in a city. Especially if you are in one the most luxurious capital cities in the world, such as London. The Emirates air line is located in the O2 Arena which can be easily accessed by underground trains and London buses. An major advantage about this particular activity is that you are not required to queue up for hours waiting for your ride, as there a numerous amount of cars available. In the sky you get to experience the city's history and some of its amazing views. Its a very fun activity and somethings that's worth giving a shot, at least once. I booked a return journey from 'Emirate Greenwhich' to 'Emirate Royal Docks', however there are other destinations available.

Here are of reasons why you should jump in an Emirates cable cars :

1. The fare is super cheap

£4.50 per adult and £2.30 per children. You cant find anything better than this in London.

Most city experiences tend to be very expensive.

2. You can choose a private cabin

If you arrive during an off peak hour, you can grab your personal cabin or pick one that you can share with your loved ones. However during peak hours, people would have to share their cabins with others as queue's tend to get quite long.

It is ideal to arrive at an off-peak time.

3. You can see everything

Its super fun and you can see some of the tallest buildings surrounding the city of London. The ride is pretty smooth however if you have a fear of heights, it is not recommended to consider this journey during a windy weather.

4. Seeing the sun set is very beautiful

If you decide to travel during the afternoon you can see the sun setting. The view is very romantic and ideal for those who are seeking a couples activity.

5. You can take a break

If you chose to book a return ticket. You are allowed to take a peak stop and explore the other side of River Themes.

6. Explore other things around the station

I traveled from Greenwich to The Royal Docks. I decided to take a break at the Royal Docks before taking my journey back. I stepped out of the station to explore the surroundings as it look very interesting in the air. Nearby this station, there is a very cool yacht named Suborn London which is now a hotel and a restaurant. The yacht is very sophisticated inside and each window offers the guets a beautiful view. The restaurant is quite expensive however's other alternative restaurants nearby which are a lot cheaper and very authentic.

If you are travelling from the opposite direction, there are a lot of things to view inside the O2 arena. There is a large number of restaurants and bars (e.g. Gaucho, Nandoo's, Wasabi, Slug and Lettuce etc..). The O2 area is known as a great location for concerts where famous artists around the world get to perform.

So why stop for a quick lunch ?

7. Return journey can be a different time light

By the time you finished exploring the other side of of the river, it might be a different time of the the day. This will provide you the opportunity to see an alternative view of the city.

In my return journey I managed to glaze down at London during night time, whereby the city begins to shine from all the turned on lights. After all the city never sleep at night.
